Here we are at the end of a glorious summer. This past season has been filled with long sunny days spent catching up with family, eating ice creams and even some dips in the sea. It has been a needed season of joy after a tough 18 months and we are all so grateful that the Great British weather at least tried to cooperate. We have loved reflecting on some of the hotels and staycation jobs we have done this year. Since this was a summer for staycations it was nice to be working on so many projects that brought people together.
Reviving beloved boat seats
Our first project that was a fun challenge was recovering these boat seats. They took some serious thinking about but in the end the white and gold faux leather really gave them the premium look they deserved. We love being able to bring life back to well used pieces. It gives us a real sense of care for the furniture that we are able to give some TLC.
Floral collaboration with House of Hackney
Another of our favourite summer projects was the work we got to do in collaboration with the team at House of Hackney on the Hotel Tremotonia project in Cornwall. The concept of turning the castle and its grounds into a luxury 70’s dream was so exciting and has definitely inspired us to push the interior boat out a little bit more. We are also seeing the maximalist floral trends seeping into the autumn winter trends which we can’t wait to bring to life in the coming months. After all we all deserve to live out our most outlandish interior dreams, right?
Boutique hotel luxury feel
What a joy to work on another wonderful room in The Whitehouse Hotel. This is one of our favourite boutique hotels. By Introducing bright stripes and neon pops of colour, we have drawn attention to these beautiful big windows and that perfect rural view. These bold choices, invite fun and laughter and show a confidence that we are bursting to share.
