Happy New Year! Are you excited to embark on the journey this year will no doubt be? After reminiscing in the last blog we thought you’d now be eager to look forward to the décor trends for the new year. Without further ado, let’s jump in.
Retro Maximalism.
This trend is exactly as it sounds; it’s all about big patterns in warm hues and muted brights. We want patterns clashing, colours blaring and absolutely no holding back. This trend will be daring and bold. This has House of Hackney written all over it – can you picture the overt patterns and confident 70’s colour pallet? We just can’t wait to see this trend this year.

Bolds and brights.
Although quite similar to the retro maximalism, bold and bright is more about blocks of colour, straight lines and texture rather than pattern. This feels like it will be suited to roman blinds, contemporary sofas and feature walls. It’s impactfully simple.

Outside In.
Maybe in response to being forced to spend more time indoors during the pandemic, there is a great demand for leafy patterns and stunning bold florals. One of our favourites is the Urban Jungle range from Bill Beaumont but if you’re more into plain fabrics then this trend also includes using hues of green in your home to give that ‘hidden in the jungle’ feel.
