This magnificent wallpaper of tropical flora and lush greenery has been beautifully reworked from an original carpet design, held in the archives of the V&A in South Kensington. The sumptuously thick ink coverage and beautiful hand-painted effect that characterise surface printing provide the perfect medium to recreate the richness and artistry of the highly patterned original. Surface printing, a heritage technique pioneered in 1838 and continued in the Lancashire factory today, brings another level of character and depth to the wallpaper.
