Gayle Nettleton has always held a clear design direction, and we have so enjoyed working with her in fulfilling her vision. Each installation is an investment made to last, and when the décor needs to be updated, many things will not need to be replaced. We worked in phases and stages, starting with the ensuite bedrooms, and moving through the reception rooms, suites, conference rooms, entrance halls, the Great Hall, and the Gaia Spa. Each phase was a big project in itself, and required close co-ordination between us all. An excellent working relationship with our clients is essential during complex projects, as is staying within (or below) budget, and installing on time.

In the Great Hall we needed scaffolding to install the upholstered pelmets and to hang the massive interlined double curtains. Nothing else would provide the gravitas needed in such a grand space, as one pair of curtains could not provide the necessary volume. We used a modern faux silk, with a simple and elegant colour and sheen. In fact we hung this overnight while the Hall was out of use!

In the bedrooms, we made and fitted co-ordinating bedspreads, scatter cushions and window treatments. In the Gaia Spa we made the striking washable voile panels that surround the daybeds. We sourced special contract fabrics, which are fire retardant and bring the luxurious formal look, and yet are excellent value for money. We re-upholstered historic seating and updated conference and lounge rooms.

We are proud and delighted that we continue to support Boringdon Hall Hotel and the Gaia Spa to look so amazing and unique, and to enhance the experience of all their guests.
